Completing the Gaps Series, iXblue Posidonia is an ultra-short baseline (USBL) acoustic positioning system dedicated to the highly accurate and ultra–long range tracking of subsea vehicles beyond 10,000 m.
A tailor-made system for every operation
The Posidonia USBL system is available in two versions to meet operators’ diverse needs. Offering operational flexibility, its deployable version can be used from a side pole, moon pole or from a hoisting system deployment.
Posidonia flush version offers an efficient USBL that can be permanently installed on the hull of a ship, without the need to deploy it for every operation. This incidentally allows fast navigation, even while operating the USBL positioning system.
A pre-calibrated version is also available to operators who need an all-in-one solution that combines a USBL antenna with a motion sensor (both iXblue or third-party), for easy and fast deployment.
