iXSpace, an iXBlue company, has been awarded by Astrium, part of EADS, a contract to supply four of its Fiber Optical sensors for the ASTRIX² 120 inertial measurement units (IMU). Based on iXBlue’s technology and developed in cooperation with EADS Astrium for the space applications, the 4 gyros Axis that will be integrated within Astrium ASTRIX² IMU, will be provided to Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. as Prime contractor of the NASA spacecraft.

The André Malraux boat saw the light of day on 23 November

The André Malraux boat, designed by the naval architectural company Mauric and built at the H2X shipyard, saw the light of day on 23 November 2011. This hydrographic vessel, ordered by the Archeological Sub-Aquatic and Sub-Marine Research Department (DRASSM), will be delivered at the beginning of 2012. The inauguration has been planned for 19 January 2012 at La Ciotat.

AIRINS delivers faster surveys for France

iXSea, an iXBlue company, has installed and commissioned complete georeferencing systems for all of the aircraft operated by the Institut Géographique National (IGN), France’s national authority for reference geographic information. The project work scope included providing AIRINS inertial navigation systems, a flight management system, an interface with a gyro-stabilized platform, data logging and processing and all equipment installation, cabling and commissioning.
